HeatBots isn't a Silicon Valley startup. It's a hands-on Utah company — born out of a real problem on a real roof.
A neighbor's roof ice-dammed three winters in a row. The third year cost them $14,000 — torn-off gutters, water-stained ceilings, an insurance company that finally said "fix the cause." Their heat tape was on the whole time. It just wasn't smart enough.
Scott Whiting — the licensed electrician behind Whiting Electric — kept getting calls about it. "Can we make heat tape actually do its job?" was a question he heard from a dozen different customers. So he built one. Then a better one. Then a few neighbors wanted it. Then their neighbors.
HeatBots is what came out of that. We're family-owned, Utah-based, and obsessed with one thing: heat tape that only runs when it has to.
Heat tape circuits draw real power. Every HeatBots is installed by a Utah-licensed electrician — not a handyman, not a subcontractor.
You own the hardware and the app. We don't rent you software for something you bought.
Scott's name is on the door, and his number is on every install. Real support, real fast.
HeatBots shares its install crew, dispatch, and warranty backbone with Scott's other Utah companies.
